In NYC Tonight?

If you happen to be in NYC tonight be sure to come to Lit lounge (2nd Ave at 5th Street) for the 3rd addition of the When Worlds Collide music showcase. The event promises to get your juices flowin' offering eclectic sounds from bands ranging from hardcore to edgy pop.

To Our Valentines..

February is Heart Month

In case you were unaware February happens to be Heart month, this subject hits home for many of the
d.brand team members as some of our immediate family members have been personally effected by this disease. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, 1 in 3 deaths is the result of heart disease and stroke, which equals up to 2,200 deaths per day.

These facts are scary but true. We care about you and want you to take steps to prevent heart disease and strokes. Besides seeing a doctor for an annual check-up some steps you can take to prevent this condition include:
- Getting up and being active for  at least 30 min per day. Exercise doesn't have to be straining; take a
   walk with friends or your favorite furry friend or take the stairs instead of the elevator. There are many
   ways to stay active throughout the day.

- Know your ABC's:
  - Ask your doctor if you should take a daily Aspirin.
  - Find out if you have high Blood pressure or Cholesterol (if you do, get effective treatment.)
  - If you Smoke, QUIT.

- Make your calories count by eating a heart-healthy diet of fruits and vegetables and low sodium and trans
  fat.

- Take control of your heart health by following your doctors prescription instructions.

Take care of your (and your family and loved ones) heart and your overall health.

Let's Do Dress Up!

Tonight at the d.brand office in NYC we played a little bit of dress up with the Spring/ Summer 2012
season. Our friends; Amy Evangelista, Natasha Sanchez and d.brand team member Marlene Estevez
decided to put on some SS'12 goods to go hit the VICE Magazine party at Westway tonight!

They look amazing! Can't wait to show off the amazing looks at the party!

d.brand Welcomes Marlene Estevez to the Team!

d.brand recently recruited sales hot shot Marlene Estevez to join our US team! Marlene will
be working out of our NYC office focusing on east coast sales! Marlene's fashion career
started way back in high school when she attended Fashion High School in NYC and later
went to graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Fashion
Merchandising. She then went on to work for various fashion labels such as Akademiks and
Generic Surplus shoes.

d.brand is excited to have Marlene as part of the team and we can't wait to see her kill it and
sell to every amazing retail location on the east side!
