Exploring the Catskills

Green for miles.
This past weekend I (Carrie) had the pleasure of getting out of the city and heading upstate NY to the Catskill Mountains (think Dirty Dancing) with a group of my friends to explore the wilderness and all that is not NYC! We stayed in a very eclectic house in the middle of no where (and I mean the middle of no where.) Each room housed a different theme including a bathroom completely adorned with creepy circus clowns of all natures; dolls, paintings, trinkets, etc.. (sorry forgot to snap a picture of that one.)

May be the oldest diner in existence
The majority of our weekend was spent on the wrap around porch on the back of the house basking in the sun and soaking in the greenery or in front of the wood burning fire, and of course indulging in a few delicious cocktails.

Apparently rock god Lenny Kravitz has also stayed in this country home.

When living in this concrete jungle we call New York City it is essential to get out at least every other month, the city is fantastic but it also has a way of making you forget what else is out there; including nature. Big thanks to all my friends for an amazing weekend!
